Our region is one of diversity and character from the mighty Murray flowing through the Australian Alps and defining the border with New South Wales, to the Eastern Highlands that plateaus across the state and shelter over 100 rustic alpine huts, each one steeped in unique history. The North East is a rich tapestry of agriculture, vineyards, orchards, crops and dairy farms connected through major arterials and touring routes.
National and State Parks encompass a significant portion of the North East, from the sub alpine woodland and grasslands of Victoria’s highest mountain in the Bogong Plains, to the majestic waterfront forest of Lake Eildon National Park and the largest surviving redgum forest in the world, the Barmah State Forest.
Small settlements are nestled among the mountains and thrive alongside expansive provincial cities and ‘one pub’ towns, synonymous with regional Victoria. North east townships are as individual in character as they are in appearance, built on a rich history of bushrangers, pioneers and burgeoning townships, evolving during the gold rush.
The north east offers a diverse selection of locations and landscapes you won’t find anywhere else in the world and will satisfy all your filming needs.
